PoC communication with technical evaluation

Support to size the solution

Before quoting, ABC Mais Telecom can understand the number of users, usage locations, data coverage, and the need for an additional battery. This avoids treating the radio as a generic solution.

Connectivity scenario

A PoC solution depends on a compatible network and data plan. This check must occur before defining the team configuration.

Groups and operation

The organization of groups must follow the operational routine informed in the quote.

Specialized assistance

ABC Mais Telecom provides specialized assistance in radiocommunication and guides the equipment evaluation according to the technical diagnosis.

Data for the quote

Inform the scenario, approximate quantity, cities of use, and need for an additional battery. This data makes the commercial conversation more objective.

Battery by code

The BP3301 battery must be checked by the manufacturer’s code and the configuration of the quoted P30.

Technical quote

Request a quote to confirm the availability and commercial conditions of the P30. The price is informed on request.

P30: technical guide to define the configuration

The P30 is a PoC radio. This means that PTT voice command uses data communication, not a conventional radio channel defined only by RF power. The manufacturer’s global page publishes LTE, WCDMA and GSM for different regions. Before the proposal, the available version and the networks used in the scenario need to be confirmed. The page does not turn the presence of LTE into a promise of coverage, range or included plan.

Connectivity and PoC service

Assessment of the P30 starts with the team’s cities, routes, indoor areas and work locations. Elevators, basements and remote areas may have different data conditions. Performance also depends on the mobile operator, plan, PoC service availability and platform configuration. Network and PoC service conditions are separate from the terminal’s features.

The P30 has a Nano SIM slot. NFC and positioning appear as optional in the official data sheet. The published positioning options are GPS with BDS, GPS with GLONASS or BDS. As they are optional features, their presence must be verified in the quoted unit. The Brazilian Hytera page informs Bluetooth 2.0. As regional specifications may vary, confirm the presence of the feature in the proposed unit; Wi-Fi is not presumed on this page.

RTOS, memory and interfaces

The published operating system is RTOS, with 48 MB of RAM and 128 MB of ROM. This architecture is different from an Android smartphone and must be evaluated according to the functions available for the PoC service. The terminal has USB Type-C and a 3.5 mm audio connector. The compatibility of any headset must be confirmed by code and configuration, not just by the physical format of the connector.

The screen has a 45.0 mm diagonal, equivalent to the 1.77 inches published by the manufacturer, and resolution of 128 by 160 pixels. It serves the operational interface provided by the manufacturer. The P30 should not be presented as a multimedia device or as a substitute for an Android terminal, because its proposal is PTT communication in a compact format.

BP3301 battery and charging routine

The published battery has 3,300 mAh. Hytera informs up to 12 hours of continuous talk time and up to 72 hours in standby under its test conditions. In real operation, transmission time, network quality, screen use, temperature and battery age alter the result. Therefore, the quantity of batteries and charging points must be related to the shift and usage profile.

The BP3301 battery is selected for P30 according to the equipment’s part number and commercial version.

Audio, protection and environment

The speaker has nominal output of 2 W and maximum of 3 W. These values describe the hardware, but intelligibility also depends on ambient noise, equipment position and configured level. An on-site test helps compare the operation’s need with the available audio.

The published protection is IP54. The manufacturer also informs vibration, drop and shock according to MIL-STD-810H, operating temperature from minus 10 to plus 55 degrees Celsius and storage from minus 30 to plus 70 degrees Celsius. IP54 should not be confused with protection against immersion. The selection must consider rain, dust, humidity, impacts and the way of transport.

Dimensions, weight and ergonomics

The P30 measures 118 by 55 by 22 mm and weighs 170 g without clip. The format reduces volume on the belt or pocket, but ergonomics must be tested with gloves, uniform and activation routine. The position of the PTT, screen reading and attachment are part of the evaluation, especially in teams that use the equipment throughout the shift.

Checklist before requesting the proposal

Inform approximate number of users, cities, routes, indoor environments, shift duration, call frequency and existence of data coverage at critical points. It is also useful to describe how groups should be organized and who needs to talk to whom. This data allows verifying whether the P30 meets the routine or if another type of terminal is more suitable.

The PoC service, SIM, data plan and platform must have clearly defined responsibilities. The proposal does not presume that these items are included. ABC Mais Telecom can guide programming, configuration and technical service of the terminal within the confirmed scope, always without promising unlimited range or operation independent of the network.
