Remote fleet administration
Programming, software updates, permission control, application and file distribution, remote locking and data wiping are among the documented features.
Records and evidence
Recording and playback of conversations, videos, photos and messages. The documentation describes searches by location and date and features for obscuring faces and license plates.
Managed service: communication and administration are distinct layers
In the European reference, HALO PTX combines communication and administration modules in a managed offering. Voice communication uses HyTalk; remote management can distribute applications, update software and administer permissions. The contract must specify which layers serve the Brazilian operation and who is responsible for each one.
- Communication: distinguish the terminal's access to the mobile network or WAN from the voice, video and dispatch modules provided by the service.
- Fleet: define who authorizes updates, remote locking and data wiping; test a controlled change before applying it to equipment in operation.
- Records: confirm media capture, transfer, storage and retrieval; do not assume continuous recording or unlimited retention.
What to confirm specifically for HALO in Brazil
The Brazilian portal is indicated by Hytera Brazil itself, but this does not establish full equivalence with the European packages. The European page mentions UK hosting and conditions for that market; this information must not be presented as features automatically included in a Brazilian contract.
- Local offering: request the list of modules, devices, licenses, connectivity and responsibilities included in the Brazilian proposal.
- Data and access: record the hosting location, those responsible for processing, access profiles and the media retention and export policy.
- Acceptance: demonstrate a call, retrieval of a record and a remote administration task in the proposed environment. The European commercial reference does not replace this validation.
