What this solution does

Local network and coverage expansion

The LXN6000 is presented for temporary, semi-permanent or fixed private networks. The LXN505 combines an LTE base station, EPC core and optional applications.

Formats for each deployment

SOW brings together a transportable system; COW connects a cell to LTE infrastructure through backhaul. The page also presents aerial deployment using balloons or drones.

Broadband for contingency

Voice, data, video and messages can support operations facing a temporary increase in demand or unavailability of fixed infrastructure.

Base station, core and applications

In the LXN505, the eNodeB provides LTE access and the EPC forms the network core; applications can be added according to configuration. The LXN6000 is presented for portable, semi-permanent or fixed deployment, creating private networks or complementing existing ones.

  • Define whether the mission needs a local network or access to external services.
  • Separate coverage requirements from user and application capacity requirements.
  • Validate terminals, bands and configuration before turning catalogue figures into system sizing.

SOW and COW: deployment involves more than transport

The relevant difference is the composition of the infrastructure. A system on wheels can provide broadband service; a cell on wheels must connect to the fixed infrastructure planned for the operation.

  • SOW: a transportable LTE system, also presented as an extension of the fixed network.
  • COW: a cell connected through backhaul, such as microwave, satellite or fiber.
  • Aerial platforms: temporary coverage from an elevated position; power, connectivity and deployment conditions still require planning.

Where to assess the application

  • Temporary coverage for events and operations in remote locations.
  • Planning continuity and restoration of communication after infrastructure failures.

What must be confirmed in the project

  • Confirm availability, bands and regulatory conditions applicable to the site.
  • Design coverage, capacity, power and backhaul; range is not a universal guarantee.
  • Validate terminals, applications and integration with the existing network.
