How to size the PNC560

The PNC560 is a 5G PoC terminal with Android 12, dedicated PTT button and two Nano SIM chips. Communication depends on data networks and the configured service, so evaluation starts with coverage in cities, routes, indoor areas and critical points of the operation. 5G support does not mean every call will use this technology. The effective network varies according to operator, plan, regional version, local availability and configuration. Before the proposal, ABC Mais Telecom also needs to know the user groups, access profiles and applications actually required.

Screen, memory and cameras

The 160 mm diagonal FHD screen has a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels. The Brazilian page publishes configurations of 4 GB RAM + 64 GB ROM or 6 GB RAM + 128 GB ROM, plus microSD card up to 256 GB. The version must be confirmed in the quote. The front camera has 8 MP. On the rear, Hytera reports 48 MP obtained by software algorithm and a second 8 MP camera. These numbers describe the published hardware and processing, but the policy for capturing, storing and sending images must be defined by the organization.

Battery and charging

The removable battery has 5,040 mAh. The autonomy of up to 15 hours is declared in the 5/5/90 cycle, with five percent of the time transmitting, five percent receiving and ninety percent in standby. Intensive use of screen, camera, GPS, weak signal, multiple applications and data traffic can reduce duration. The manufacturer also publishes charging up to 95 percent in two hours with 18 W fast charging. To plan shifts, it is necessary to check chargers, power points, available time and possible need for an additional battery.

Positioning and local connectivity

The terminal combines GPS, BDS, GLONASS, Galileo and A-GPS, as well as Wi-Fi on 2.4 and 5 GHz and NFC. The presence of these features does not guarantee that every platform, application or corporate policy will use them. Operation depends on the adopted configuration, permissions and availability of services. The use of two Nano SIMs can support connectivity planning, but operator selection, switching and field behavior must be validated in the contracted scenario, without assuming continuous coverage.

Protection and compatibility

The official page informs IP68, compliance with MIL-STD-810G, drop resistance up to 1.5 m and operating range from −20 °C to +60 °C. These values correspond to the published test conditions and do not replace conservation procedures. The PNC560 measures 166.6 × 77.1 × 13 mm and weighs about 270 g. The POA200 accessory remains in the carousel because the manufacturer lists it for this model and the official image was checked. For the quote, inform shifts, quantity, environments, networks, applications, cameras, positioning and recharging required.

Deployment checklist

Before approving the configuration, it is advisable to test the quoted memory version, the PoC application, Android 12 permissions and behavior with the planned operators. The test should include PTT call, indoor areas, outdoor routes, network switching, media sending when authorized and screen reading in real conditions. If the operation uses cameras, define who can capture, store and receive files. If positioning is used, validate the platform that will display the data and access rules. Autonomy needs to be measured during a representative shift, as the 5/5/90 cycle is a standardized reference.

It is also important to check the 18 W power supply, cables, power points and recharge time. The IP68 rating and published resistance guide use, but do not authorize exposure outside test conditions. The POA200 code must be included in the bill of materials when this accessory is part of the proposal. Thus, network, memory, cameras, battery and protection cease to be just catalog numbers and become a documented validation of the PNC560.
