Hytera XP60X: meet the XP6 series radio for industry
The Hytera XP60X is the XP6 series DMR portable radio for teams working around machinery, metal structures, water and dust. The new release combines AI noise reduction, IP66/IP68 protection and radio fleet management features, with a focus on everyday industrial work.
The series was introduced in Brazil on 8 October 2026, in São Paulo, according to Hytera’s official announcement.
XP6 is the series. XP60X is the model.
The XP60X is a DMR Tier II digital radio without a display, with analog operation according to programming. Selection takes account of the existing radios’ band, communication locations and the company’s infrastructure.
- UHF version
- 400-480 MHz
- VHF version
- 136-174 MHz
These are separate versions. The datasheet does not describe a device operating simultaneously on UHF and VHF.

Voice needs to stand out from the noise.
In a factory, machinery noise can mask an instruction. The XP60X’s artificial intelligence noise suppression helps separate speech from background sounds, improving message intelligibility.
The audio system has a rated output of 1 W, with a maximum of 3 W, and microphone protection against wind noise. Audio accessory selection must also suit the workstation and hearing protection procedures.
Hytera states up to 107 phons. This unit expresses loudness level and should not be interpreted as 107 dB.

Built for demanding daily work.
The IP66/IP68 protection against dust and water is combined with drop resistance up to 1.5 m. Hytera also highlights speaker water drainage and an antimagnetic design to reduce metal particle buildup in this area.
These features matter when evaluating the radio for industrial and port operations. Selection still depends on exposure conditions, maintenance and the site’s safety requirements.
The 1.5 m drop test does not indicate immersion depth. IP68 does not replace specific certification for hazardous areas.

Where might the XP60X be a good fit?
Hytera presents the series for industry, mining and equipment rental. The starting point is the team’s work, rather than a list of isolated specifications.
| Operation | What to assess in the project |
|---|---|
| Manufacturing and steelmaking | Speech intelligibility near machinery, metal particles and operation with gloves; selection of audio accessories. |
| Ports and outdoor areas | Exposure to water and dust, operator movement and coverage among structures and open areas. |
| Mining | Environmental conditions, critical coverage locations and safety requirements. Hazardous areas require their own certifications. |
| Rental fleets | Group programming, shift battery life, charging and standardization of each team’s accessories. |
Coverage starts with the operating site.
The datasheet states digital receiver sensitivity of 0.14 μV at 5% BER and transmit power up to 5 W. These figures do not define a guaranteed distance: walls, industrial buildings, terrain and interference affect the result. The project must consider where the team needs to communicate and whether repeaters may be necessary.
Charging and battery life for shift planning.
The XP60X can be charged through USB-C or a charging base. The standard 1,500 mAh battery is rated for up to 16 hours under the 5/5/90 test cycle. Actual runtime varies with transmission, volume and operating conditions.
The 2,400 mAh smart battery and 3,000 mAh battery are listed as options. The proposal must identify the configuration to be supplied.
An organized fleet also depends on configuration.
Bluetooth, smartphone programming and MDM SE/MDM Pro tools are among the management possibilities presented by Hytera. The documented technical workflow includes a wired connection to the radios; this feature does not give the equipment internet connectivity.
The emergency button and Man Down require programming and a response procedure. Availability and integration must be confirmed for the selected version.

Consult the full datasheet and confirm the supplied configuration. Battery life and durability are test references, not guarantees of results in every environment.
Accessories: choose the right kit for the job.
The datasheet lists a charger, 12 V/1 A power supply, 1,500 mAh battery, antenna, belt clip and strap as standard accessories. The kit contents must be specified in the proposal.
Options include wired or wireless audio accessories, wireless PTT, a USB programming cable, a multi-unit charger and additional batteries.

What should your company define before requesting a quote?
- Environment: indoor and outdoor areas, noise, metal structures, water and dust.
- Team: number of users, workgroups and shift duration.
- Existing system: band, frequencies, programming and infrastructure to integrate.
- Operation: accessories, charging and procedures for emergency features.
With this information, ABC Mais can assess the application and suitable configuration, including the operation’s regulatory requirements.
Questions about the XP6 series
Are XP60X and XP6 series the same thing?
XP6 is the series presented by Hytera. XP60X is the radio model detailed in this article and the technical material consulted.
Does the XP60X operate on UHF and VHF simultaneously?
That is not the specification presented. The manufacturer lists UHF or VHF versions; the variant needs to be defined for the project.
Can I use the radio with my existing infrastructure?
The band, frequencies, programming and infrastructure must be assessed. DMR alone does not confirm compatibility with every feature of an existing network.
